Environmental Law Society (ELS)

Field trips, speaker panels, letter-writing campaigns, and recycling drives are just some of the activities awaiting students who join the Environmental Law Society. The Society explores controversial environmental issues such as nuclear power, ozone depletion, toxic waste, and water pollution from every perspective, and disseminates information about this vital and dynamic area of the law to the Law School community. Students learn to approach these often passionately debated issues on a practical and professional level as they interact with their peers, industry experts, environmental groups, government agencies, and practicing attorneys.
