The Loyola Wine and Spirits Law Society ("WSLS") is an organization dedicated to the celebration and discussion of the wine, beer, and spirits industries. We strive to provide an informal social structure for law students to try new things and meet new people, all while exploring the legal realities that alcoholic beverage producers, distributors, and retailers face in the world today. To accomplish these goals, WSLS hosts discussion groups on a variety of topics touching on related fields such as environmental, corporate, and intellectual property law as well as broader issues of social justice and equity. We also host happy hours and tasting events throughout the academic year. These events provide an opportunity for our members to develop lasting connections with fellow students, professors, and industry professional as well as learn practical skills to intelligently appreciate and discuss wine and spirits.
